Rector's Discretionary Account
Your generous non-pledged offerings (cash and designated checks) on the first Sunday each month support our clergy's Discretionary Account. Frs. Muir and Jenkins use these funds to meet urgent needs within our community, to further the ministries of the church when other funds are not available, and to support community programs and institutions that serve those in need.

CHILDREN
WEAVING GOD'S PROMISES -- Ages 8-11 or Grades 3 - 5
Leader: Coleman Graham and company
Location: Blue Room, Children's Ministries Center
Our bigger children will immerse themselves in an Episcopal formation experience rooted in the stories of our faith as presented in Matthew's Gospel. In this first of a three-year cycle, our children encounter the story of our salvation from the fall to our redemption and how we fit into the story. Our theme in this curriculum year is "God loves us and stays with us-no matter what." Every session incorporates theology and history from our Episcopal-Anglican perspective. Questions??? Contact
Coleman Graham or
Fr. John.

GODLY PLAY -- 4s to 8, Kindergarten thru 2nd grade
Leaders: Kim Butler & Ivey Coleman
Location: Godly Play Room, Children's Ministry Center
We take children and their relationship with God seriously and seek to provide both space to foster encounters with God and the language necessary to make meaning of those experiences. Within the Godly Play classroom, the Biblical narrative is lovingly presented to children using beautiful materials with an invitation to step into each story with awe and wonder. Children are then allowed time to respond to and reflect on their experience of the story.
Take a Parent Page from the table so you can talk your child about "their work" and wonder with them throughout the week about the sacred story. Questions??? Contact
Kim Butler,
Ivey Coleman, or
Fr. John.

SAINT PAUL'S CREATION CARE
Compassionate Service to God's Creation
DID YOU KNOW?
It requires 95% less energy and water to recycle a can than it does to create a can from virgin materials.
UPCOMING OPPORTUNITIES
Heggie's Rock Tour
The Creation Care Committee invites you to a special guided tour of Heggie's Rock Saturday, April 27, 9:30 AM. Space is limited to 12 people, and RSVP required.
Heggie's Rock is a spectacular granite outcrop in Columbia County which spreads over 60 acres and rises 100 feet high. Our Saint Paul's group will have a private guided tour, which will last over two hours. This natural wonder is notable for its unusually high diversity of plant and animal life because it includes a dry outcrop, forests and beaver-impounded streams. The granite outcrop, Heggie's Rock, dominates. It is here you see exposed granite, lichen and moss covered rock, soil islands and the beautiful vernal pools, or dish gardens, which support rare and unusual plants. Heggie's Rock is owned, preserved and protected by The Nature Conservancy of Georgia.
More info on the preserve here.
Participants must be able to walk 2+ miles on uneven terrain, and bring your own water and hat, etc. There are no facilities.
Contact Anne Bell at (706)755-8545 to RSVP and with any questions. There is the option of a group lunch out, after the walking tour if so desired.
