Mothers day originally was known as Mothers Friendship Day or Peace Day and was initiated by Anna Jarves as a peace movement after the civil war by mothers who cared for victims on both sides of war - like Thich Nhat Hahn she said no-one wins in war and healing reconciliation is necessary. She named the day MOTHER'S FRIENDSHIP DAY or MOTHERS PEACE DAY in recognition of the great need for reconciliation and peace. Mothers day has evolved into a day of celebration honoring mothers we offer a touchstone to its initial meaning of peace, life and unity.

Symbolic art with the graceful crane blessings are read from the bottom to the top. Lou Created the prayers after the piece was completed. She feels that symbolic peace is made for a specific person. Here we start with a brass dragon-headed bell that summons the deepest part of your being, calling up your strength and mastery to awaken your true self. The dragon has come to move energy that was hidden for you. Chrysoprase (green stone above bell) links you to nature spirits.
