POSTCARD FROM FONTBONNE
October 23, 2020
Dear Fontbonne Alumnae,

My hope is you are all doing well and remaining resilient amid these challenging and anxious times. Our Fontbonne community continues to be steadfast in faith and commitment as we continue to work to educate, empower and inspire our young women amid COVID-19.

Like many other schools, Fontbonne has dealt with a small number of Coronavirus cases. What we have learned though is that the safety measures our team has invested in put in place on campus are working to keep our students safe while they are in our care. This week Fontbonne returned to our Hybrid learning model. It was wonderful to have the students in Grades 9 & 10 back on campus learning and thriving.

This week we welcomed a new member to our Advancement team. Ms. Linda Gallinaro is our new Director of Alumnae Engagement & Philanthropy. Linda embraces the CSJ mission and is thrilled to be joining a diverse and inclusive community working to serve the dear neighbor. You'll read more about Linda below. Join me in welcoming her!

I continue to keep you all in my prayers. I look forward to the day we can safely have our Alumnae back on campus to engage with the young women of Fontbonne today and see our thriving community firsthand.

Many blessings,
INTRODUCING OUR NEW DIRECTOR OF
ALUMNAE ENGAGEMENT & PHILANTHROPY
Meet Ms. Linda Gallinaro! Linda joins our Advancement team in the new role of Director of Alumnae Engagement and Philanthropy. Linda comes to Fontbonne from Notre Dame Academy in Hingham. While there she served as Director of Engagement and Events. Prior to that Linda worked for years at SageView Advisory Group and Simmons University.

Linda is no stranger to women of courage made strong. She is the proud mother of two successful grown daughters and a son. In her free time she enjoys hiking and takes time to do it on her own as a contemplative activity.

Linda is excited to join the Fontbonne team and is enthusiastic to embrace our mission. She looks forward to connecting with, getting to know all of you and inviting you back on campus when it is safely to do so. Please reach out to Linda and welcome her to the Fontbonne community! You can reach her at lgallinaro@fontbonneboston.org or 617-615-3029.

HONORING SUE'S MEMORY & IMPACT AT FONTBONNE
We can't wait to hit the golf course in honor of Sue Katchpole this coming Monday at the 2nd Annual "A Match For Katch."

The tournament is sold out, but YOU can still take part. The Silent Auction just opened and some fantastic items are on the block! Tickets are also still available for the Virtual Raffle.

Don't miss your chance to hit a hole in one OFF the golf course and score some great prizes. All proceeds will benefit a young girl's education at Fontbonne.
CELEBRATING HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
Fontbonne was proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, which concluded on October 15th. The leaders of Latinas Unidas created and presented several educational presentations with our community honoring hispanic heritage. Thank you to Isabel Alvarado '21, Sydnee Bridges '21 and Adrianna Davis '21. Isabel and Adrianna share their thoughts with us in the video below.
SPREAD THE WORD - TELL YOUR FRIENDS!
The Open House season at Fontbonne is here! We are offering virtual admissions events in the coming weeks. Our first virtual Open House this past Sunday was a success. A second one will be held in November. Families can sign up on the Visit page of our website. Some of our best referrals come from our distinguished alumnae, so if you know of someone who would benefit from the Fontbonne experience, please share the flyer above with them or refer them to the Admissions office at admissions@fontbonneboston.org.
GET YOUR LAWN SIGN!
We need your help to get the word out! We would love for you to post one of our lawn signs advertising our virtual Open House outside of your home or business. Let us know your address and we will drop one off for you ASAP. Email us at admissions@fontbonneboston.org to sign up!
THE 2020 FUND FOR COVID RELIEF
A safe return to school for Fontbonne amid the pandemic has also proven to be very costly. The safety of our students and staff is our main priority. Some of these costs include technology upgrades, the purchase of PPE and reconfiguring our building to keep our students safe, as well as providing an unprecedented amount of tuition assistance.

We are addressing these costs by establishing a special 2020 Fund for Covid Relief. Please support your alma mater, and the students and families navigating high school and so much more.

Fore more information please reach out to Linda Gallinaro, Director of Alumnae Engagement & Philanthropy.
