Message from Dr. June Andrews Horowitz (USA) and Dr. Sonja Meiers (USA) Conference Planning Committee co-chairs:
We look forward to welcoming you to IFNC14, August 13-16, 2019, in Washington, D.C. Now that acceptance notices for podium presentations and posters have been sent, we know that travel plans are being made. Please check on travel documentation requirements as necessary travel documents can vary by country. Check your passport and renew now if your passport expires within 6 months of the conference - a common travel rule.
If you may require special documentation or you need to obtain a travel visa to attend IFNC14 from outside the United States, IFNA can provide a letter of "Invitation to Attend". Please check requirements for entry from your country to the U.S. We can ensure that you are listed on the IFNC14 preliminary program or provide documentation to that effect as requested for documentation purposes. The IFNC14 program is still in development; however, we can confirm presenter status for accepted abstracts as needed.
In the coming months, we will develop and provide additional travel tips. For those who wish to explore flights now, we suggest two airports for Washington D.C.: Reagan National Airport and Dulles International Airport. You also may check Baltimore/Washington (BWI) Thurgood Marshall Airport. Our conference hotel is in central Washington, D.C. so access from these airports is available via public transportation or taxi. Please note that travel from BWI will require a short train ride to Washington, D.C. that typically is available during regular daytime hours but may not but be available late evening. We hope that these early travel tips help in your planning.
