I hope this message finds you and your family safe and well!

As we continue with distance learning for the remainder of this school year, we would also like our community to know that we are busy planning for the 2020-21 school year, and what that could look like for students, staff and families.  We have received a number of important questions over the last few weeks, and we know that parents have varied feelings about schools reopening.  To better understand your thoughts about next year, our Board of Trustees has asked us to develop a parent survey that solicits your input.  Please know that the survey will be sent out to parents within the next week, and that this information will be used to help us make more informed decisions.  In addition, thank you for the almost 1,400 responses to the recent parent survey on distance learning.  The survey closed last Friday and we are busy compiling that data so that we can enhance our distance learning program for students.

Once again, we are extremely grateful to all of the FVSD Family for the videos and photos that have been shared with us over the last several weeks.   Thank you for your ongoing commitment to taking care of each other, as we continue working through this very difficult and unique time!

With gratitude,

Mark Johnson, Ed.D.
Superintendent
