Spring Break Camp Opportunity for 5th & 6th Graders!

Need something for your 5th or 6th grader to do during Spring Break? Roycemore is running a Camp the first week of Spring Break from March 30-April 3 for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. Camp will be open from our usual 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We have planned many exciting and fun activities. They may attend for one day or for all five. You can access the flyer HERE.

Although it is a month away, we need to plan for it. At this time, we do not have enough children for the camp to run. Please let me know if you are planning to have your children attend so we can plan accordingly.
8th Graders!! Opportunity to go to France & Spain next year!!
We’re going to France and Spain for JST (January Short Term) 2021! Highlights of the itinerary include Paris, the Côte d'Azur, Monaco, Èze, Nice, and Provence in France, and Barcelona, Madrid, and Toledo in Spain. Please attend the Student/Parent Travel Meeting this Wednesday, 4 March at 5:30 PM in Room 235 for more information. Please RSVP by clicking “I’m interested” and filling out the contact information here: www.explorica.com/Trowbridge-5378
Sixth Graders take a Virtual Tour of Paris

Sixth grade French students engaged in a virtual tour of the Paris metro. The students had to navigate their way through the city using their knowledge of how the metro system works. Equipped with directions, points of interest, and all of the different metro line maps, they set off on their way. It wasn't always easy but the students kept at it. They began their day at l'aéroport de Charles de Gaulle, then got off at St. Paul to check into their hotel. From there they got back on Metro line 1 to head to le Louvre. Afterwards, they visited l'Opéra, the famous macaron shop LaDurée on the Champs-Elysées, and eventually made it to la Tour Eiffel. Finally, they navigated their way to the neighborhood of Montmarte before finishing their day in Disneyland Paris.

Now, when they actually travel to Paris, they will know how to get around!

Sports and Activities this coming week!!
Seeking volunteers to help lead Middle School after-school clubs: Given low enrollment in the baking club and digital adventures, a couple of the clubs that were planned for winter/ spring did not run. Students have identified several clubs that they would love to see happen, and we have listed them below. You may also have other ideas! Are you interested and available to help lead an after school club? If so, contact Adrianne Finley Odell at afinleyodell@roycemoreschool.org
