February 28, 2019 - Weekly News

Just incase you think there is a few typos in the bulletin on Sunday, there is but....guess what? If last weekend's blizzard prevented you from getting to church and hearing the next message in the Questions of Faith sermon series; no worries, it stopped us all from hearing the planned sermon message for last Sunday. So the great news is Pastor Joyce will be sharing last Sunday's planned message " Questions of Faith: What Happens When We Die? " this Sunday.

So make plans to to join your CRUMC family & friends this Sunday as we tackle this question about what happens after we die.

Any additions or changes during the worship that are not printed in the bulletin will be on the TV monitors for your convience.

The worship volunteer sign-up sheets are pretty open, so it would be great to get worship servers lined up. It would amazing if all those that can filled in a few time for the upcoming months.

Check out the sign-up-sheet to donate items and/or time to help make this meal a success. All proceeds will be going to support mission projects as well as making a donation to Emily Baker’s mission trip to South Africa.

Monetary Donations are accepted to off set the purchase of other food and supplies.

Please mark donations with: Shrove Pancake Meal and put in the offering plate or Mandy's church mailbox.

Help share the experience of the season with others Postcards & Small Flyer sheets are available on the back table of the sanctuary to use to invite others to join the CR-UMC in observing the special days during the season.

If you are unable to make it out to pick-up a invite with our Lent & Easter schedule on it to send or deliver to someone please do not hesitate to email Mandy Smouse ( mandy.smouse@coonrapidsmethodistchurch.org ) and we will make sure that individual recieves one.

New Member Sunday – March 17, 2019

We are so excited that to have vistors with us to worship! If you have been worshiping with us for awhile and are interested in becoming a member of the Coon Rapids First United Methodist Church we will be having a "New Member Sunday" on March 17th. New Member/Informational Get-Together- Thursday, March 14 th , 7:00 pm

There will be a short informational get together for anyone who might be considering membership. This is also open to folks who would like to know more about the United Methodist Church in general. Attending the meeting doesn’t obligate you to join the church.

Youth Ministry News

This week we finally were able to have Wednesday night church activites which means the kids were back to kick off their next Bible story them! During this rotation the kids & leaders will be learning about "Jesus Feeds 5000" or "Five Thousand Fed". This miracle is reported by all four gospels (Matthew14:13-21; Mark 6:31-44; Luke 9:12-17; John 6:1-14).

The Dynamite Disciples will play bells & sing March 31st and Palm Sunday, April 14th.

Save the date: End of the Dynamite Disciples church school year will be April 24th, we will have our potluck supper that evening.
