Processing Eagle Applications
Be sure to allow enough time in between turning in a Scout's Eagle Application, allowing adequate time for it to be processed and planning your Eagle Court of Honor. There has been a delay in recent Eagle Applications being returned from National and we advise everyone to please plan accordingly. [Read More]
Merit Badges
If you have Merit Badge Counselor questions here is some clarification. The Heart of Virginia Council Advancement Committee has set a guideline that an individual may not register as a counselor for more than 8 Merit Badges. If a person feels they are qualified to instruct a number greater than 8, they need to appeal to the Council Advancement Committee. [Read More]
PINTwood Derby
The PINTwood Derby will be held on August 21st from 11 am to 2 pm at Hardywood Brewery. Come out and Race Pinewood Derby Cars and socialize at an event benefiting the Heart of Virginia Council.
