Generations Inc.
Funder: New Jersey Health Initiatives
The “Just For You Program” ensures senior citizens have access to nutritious foods. Since its launch in July, Generations Inc has distributed hundreds of bags filled with fresh produce, nutrition fact sheets and healthy recipes to Lindenwold senior citizens.

“I have been receiving the fresh fruit and vegetables for the past 3 months and it has been wonderful. This means a lot to me because it gives me a better quality of life and nutrition. I am very thankful for what we receive. Not only does it benefit me and others in the building, it helps the farmers that harvest the produce." - Josh Morgan

Partners include: Harvest House, Stellato Boys Produce, Food Bank of South Jersey, Bethany Baptist Church, Lindenwold Towers, Linden Lake Apartments and more.

KinderSmile Foundation Provides Access to Oral Health Care to At-Risk Youth
The mission of KinderSmile Foundation is to provide underserved children with access to comprehensive dental care and to educate children and their families about the importance of dental hygiene as related to total health. Support from Partners for Health Foundation has provided preventive and comprehensive care to at-risk uninsured and underinsured children throughout KinderSmile programs and in the Dental Home KinderSmile Community Oral Health Center Bloomfield.

Meeting the Moment: Opportunities for Comprehensive Healthy Housing & Health Equity During COVID-19

The session will examine how local governments can respond to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing structural racism on housing quality, affordability, and stability. Participants will:
  • Learn about the racial inequities of the pre-existing housing crisis and how COVID-19 is changing the scale and complexity of this crisis
  • Gain new insights and frameworks on how to pursue and present health equity and racial justice in their housing work
  • Learn how cities are centering health equity and racial justice in developing local housing solutions to respond to the needs of their communities
