PEAK Browser Compatibility
Effective April 5, Internet Explorer versions 9 and 10 will not be compatible with PEAK and users with these browsers could encounter security and technical issues.

We recommend PEAK users regularly update their browsers and suggest Google Chrome for the best possible PEAK experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I don't change/upgrade my browser before April 5?
Outdated browsers are much more vulnerable to viruses and malware, which can cause problems not only for that user's computer, but for any network they connect toThose using the outdated Internet Explorer versions will not suddenly lose access to PEAK anytime on or after April 5, but they could run into technical issues and/or open themselves up to possible security weaknesses that will best be avoided with a browser upgrade.

How can I download Google Chrome?
If you are on your personal computer or otherwise have authority to download software/applications, visit  https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/,  click "Download Chrome" and follow the prompts.

Tools of Transformation
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Approves Value-Based Pharmaceutical Contracts
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has  approved  a Colorado plan allowing the Department to negotiate supplemental rebate agreements involving value-based contracts with pharmaceutical companies.

Value-based contracts would produce additional rebates that lower net cost for the state for drugs covered under such contracts, if clinical outcome targets for those drugs are not achieved.

Delivery Systems Innovation
No Wrong Door Update
The end of the NWD pilot period is September 30, 2019. During the last leg of the pilot period, pilot sites will be targeting issues faced by agencies who strive to connect individuals to a variety of long-term services and supports (LTSS).

Pilot site lead agencies and their partner agencies are looking for ways to sustain the improved collaboration and coordination efforts after the pilot ends. The sustainability of their work will help mitigate referrals falling through the cracks and ensure individuals get connected to the supports and services they need to live in the community of their choice.

The purpose of this Informational Memo is to share what the No Wrong Door (NWD) pilot sites and the state are working on for the remaining six-months of the pilot period and beyond.

For more information, please review the policy memo.

The next iteration of the Accountable Care Collaborative (ACC) began July 1, 2018. As a reminder, the Department has published resources and guidance for providers, members, and other interested parties on CO.gov/HCPF/ACCPhase2.

American Indian and Alaska Native Co-pay and Enrollment Fee Exemptions Memo
The Department has posted a Policy Memo to inform eligibility workers about the different types of exemptions available to American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN), who are enrolled or applying for Health First Colorado and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+).

This Policy Memo provides guidance regarding the information that must be entered into the Colorado Benefits Management Eligibility System (CBMS), to properly exempt American Indians and Alaska Natives from co-payments and enrollment fees.

For more information, please review the policy memo.

National Core Indicator Surveys
Up to 6,000 randomly selected members receiving services through the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Developmental Disabilities, Supported Living Services, Community Mental Health Supports and Elderly, Blind and Disabled waivers are being contacted and requested to participate in the National Core Indicators (NCI) survey.

The NCI surveys evaluate members' satisfaction with their services and level of community integration. Colorado has participated in the NCI surveys since 2013. Information collected through the surveys is used to better understand the effectiveness of HCBS administered by the Department and improve supports and services provided in the state.

Participation is completely voluntary and will not affect member services or benefits in any way. All information provided by members will be kept confidential and they will not be personally identified in any released report.
