2020-21 Tuition Assistance - Important Reminder
 
Applications are now open for families requesting tuition assistance at Carondelet for the 2020-21 school year. All families must apply each year aid is requested. Introducing the Frosh/Soph dance, "Here We Glow Again!" This glow-in-the-dark dance will be on Saturday, February 8 from 7-10 PM at Carondelet. Open to Carondelet and DLS frosh and sophomores.

Ticket sales are open now. Purchase by January 27.  $8 online,  $10 in-person.

"Road to College Night" I Wednesday,  January 22 at 6:30 PM  

Students and parents will have the opportunity to attend multiple workshops led by College Admissions Officers and College Counselors on topics including: the SAT/ACT, resources for first generation and underrepresented students, UC admission, community college options, course advisement and AP classes, and highly selective admissions. This is an event you won't want to miss! All workshops are tentative and subject to change.
Heart to Heart Retreat I Sunday, Feb. 23
 
During the month of love, honor your heart by attending this joyful, prayerful retreat.  Students, mothers, daughters, aunts, sisters, grandmothers, and any other female Carondelet friends or family members (8th grade and above) are invited to celebrate a day dedicated to "Women of Heart."  Through dynamic community-building and activities that engage the mind, body, and spirit, this sacred event will feed your soul and create lifelong memories.

Crab Feed I Saturday, February 29
 

Save the date! Saturday, February 29 for the largest fundraiser for the Carondelet Parent Association supporting parent education, programming, and scholarships for students. 

Tickets go on sale Wednesday at noon.  $70 each, $65 for groups of 10 or more.
Morning shuttle registration 
 
Registration for morning rides on the Carondelet Shuttle is now open. Carondelet students and DLS siblings can register for morning transportation. Morning pickups available in Livermore, Pleasanton, and Danville. Registration is $500/semester.  Students must be registered before they can board and ride in the morning.  Full Info and Registration available online
Spring Sports registration
 
If you have not already done so, please visit AthleticClearance.com and register your daughter for spring sports. Each student wanting to try out for a spring sport must complete registration as soon as possible. Keep in mind you will need to upload a copy of a current physical during the registration process. Sports physicals are valid for one calendar year. Please verify the date to make sure your daughter's physical complies.  
 
If you think you have already registered, please log on to AthleticClearance.com to confirm and make sure everything is completed.

Spring sports eligible for try-outs: Softball, Lacrosse, Swimming, Diving, Competitive Sport Cheer, Rugby, and Sand Volleyball.
Schedule change fees
 
Schedule change fees from 1st semester will be added to your Smart Tuition accounts in January. Second semester schedule change fees will be added to your accounts in February. 
Camp Carondelet
 
This summer there are new camp opportunities for younger siblings, family members, and friends of Carondelet! 

Camp Carondelet is a fun, enriching summer camp for incoming 3rd-8th graders. Kids explore a balance between creative learning and outdoor play across two campuses. We'll host  four week-long sessions in June and July.

Athletics Update
 
Basketball:
Frosh Team - The freshman team is now 13-3 for the season and 1-0 in league. In the Christmas tournament Mackenzie Papalia and Michelle Mayorga were named Co-All Tournament MVPs. They finished the break up 5-0 beating Amador Valley, Napa, Vintage, Marin Catholic, and Dougherty Valley.

JV Team - Over the break the JV team went 4 and 1. They beat Amador, St. Marys, St. Josephs, and Oakland Tech. They took 2nd place in both tournaments with Viola De Szily, making the All-Tournament Team in the second tournament. Overall the JV team is 11-3 for the season.

Varsity Team - Varsity Basketball went 3-1 in Arizona at the Nike Tournament of Championship with wins over teams from Arizona and Canada. The team participated locally in the West Coast Jamboree going 2-1 in the tournament finishing 4th.

Soccer:
Frosh Team With two games over the break, the Frosh team went 2-0. They also won the league opener against Dougherty Valley at home. The team is led by Captain Nikki Bowbeer, who has led the team to a winning start in league play. Exciting soccer is on the way for the Frosh soccer team.


 

JV TeamWith three games over the break the JV team brought home three wins. They had wins over Dougherty Valley, Clayton Valley, and Monte Vista.  

 

Varsity TeamOn December 21st the team had a tremendous opportunity to play at Avaya Stadium, home of the San Jose Earthquakes. They had a great game against Castro Valley beating them 5-0. During the break they traveled to Santa Ana for the Excalibur Tournament and went 2-1-1 for the weekend. They competed at a high level the entire weekend against teams ranked in the top 50 in the country. Upon their return they beat Clayton Valley and had a tight loss to Monte Vista. Their overall record is now 7-4-1 (1-1 in league play).
