Fruit Plant Sale
Clay County Extension will be offering fruit plants for sale for the 2019 Spring planting season. The funds from the plant sale will support the Clay County 4-H Youth Program. Plant orders will be taken beginning Friday, February 1st until March 8th. In order to keep the prices low, a prepayment of all orders is required. Plants will arrive for pick up on Wednesday, April 3rd. 
Plants for sale include varieties of apples, peaches, pears, cherries, plums, blackberry, raspberry, blueberries, strawberries and grapes. For more information and order forms please  Click Here. If you have questions please call our office at 828-389-6305.
 

Is Hemp The Same Thing As Marijuana?
There's been a lot of discussion about hemp recently, since the 2018 Farm Bill made it legal for farmers to grow industrial Hemp  for the first time since the passage of the 1970 Controlled Substances Act (or, practically speaking, since the 1937 Marihuana Tax Act).
