Director's Note Thank you for helping to make our 8th Annual Resource Fair today a tremendous success. We appreciate all of our exhibitors, parent participants, staff volunteers and outreach workshop presenters for helping us to share such valuable information. We hope you enjoyed it! Remember that this Tuesday, February 25, the PTA is hosting a fundraiser at Ledo Pizza in Bethesda. Funds raised will support PTA family events and staff appreciation throughout the school year. We had a great turnout for the 8th annual Ivymount Special Needs Resource Fair. Film Festival Spotlights Ivymount Students

Ivymount student Carly R and former student Susannah L were part of a group of athletes whose efforts were featured in a film screening last Thursday to kick off the Reel Abilities Film Festival. The documentary "Cheers of Joy" follows team JOY, a Special Olympics cheerleading team, for a year as it prepared to compete at the World Games. Carly and Susannah attended the screening and participated in a panel afterward along with fellow teammates. The film is also being shown this Wednesday, February 26 at the Universities of Shady Grove at 5 pm. The screening will be followed by a Q and A with the production team. RSVP Here

2020 Spring Lecture Series Begins March 10

Ivymount Outreach is proud to host a Spring Lecture Series with three complimentary lectures planned. The lectures are open to Ivymount parents as well as the community, so please share the information. The first lecture is Tuesday, March 10, 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM. The topic is Health Care Transition for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs, led by Mary Price of the Maryland Department of Health. We hope to see you there.

Ivymount Welcomes Music for Autism

Mark your calendars for the next complimentary Music for Autism concert, Saturday March 28. The event will be held in the Ivymount APR and is open to members of the community. It will feature Mount Vernon Virtuosi, an innovative chamber orchestra of young musicians on transition from their studies into a professional career. Each concert is free but RSVPs are requested.
