Bulldog Spotlight of the Week
Corey McQuade
Corey McQuade, one of our high school seniors, is an aspiring Eagle Scout from Troop 22. Corey has been in Boy Scouts since he was seven years old and has completed over 300 hours of volunteer work in his twelve years of scouting.

For his Eagle Scout project, Corey is planning a beautification event at the Ryerss Museum on October 24th and 25th, 2020. The Ryerss Museum was turned into a non profit museum and library in 1910. It holds a special place in Corey's heart, as it is located in his community of Burholme.

Corey plans to preserve the building’s historic characteristics by replacing the iconic community sign, cleaning the window shutters, painting the Victorian urn and light poles, and sprucing up the gardens with new mulch and plants. While he has the support of both his Boy Scout Troop and the Friends of Ryerss, he still needs our help in raising enough funds to accomplish his goals. Any donation will be greatly appreciated, and more information can be found on his GoFundMe page, linked here. It's great to see Corey embody what it means to be a part of a Caring Community!
