OPEN POSITIONS:

Salt Lake County's Most Vulnerable Populations: Salt Lake County Housing and Community Development's (HCD) mission is "to improve the quality of life for all Salt Lake County Residents". AmeriCorps members are selected to provide direct services to homeless individuals and families.

AmeriCorps Education Initiative of Utah (AEIOU): AEIOU provides schools with AmeriCorps members who recruit, train, schedule and monitor volunteers to individually tutor students who have been identified as needing extra help in reading. Member Duties :  Recruit and train community members as volunteers. Organize, schedule, and monitor one-on-one tutoring programs. Maintain data. Ability to work collaboratively with others. Willingness to learn and serve others.

Utah Healthcare Corps: This program engages members as Community Health Workers (CHWs) — trusted, knowledgeable frontline health personnel who typically come from the communities they serve — to help connect individuals to healthcare and social resources.

Utah Conservation Corps: Field Crew Members spend three months working and living outdoors as part of a Utah Conservation Corps field crew in service to public lands and the communities that surround them.All UCC crew members are trained in safe and proper tool use, project techniques, and outdoor living. Training topics include chainsaw and hand tool use, project techniques, and basic wilderness first aid. Crews complete projects on Utah's public lands related to habitat restoration, invasive species removal, fence construction, trail constructions or forest fire fuels reduction.

Meet the 2020 Youth Council
Members of the 2020 Youth Council have been announced! This group of young leaders will work as ambassadors of service in their communities, schools, and peer groups.

They are currently identifying needs in their communities that can be addressed with youth engagement. Be on the lookout for their upcoming service projects!

Announcing the Community of Engagement Award
The Community of Engagement award will encourage cities to engage citizens in volunteerism, especially skills-based programs, to solve issues in their respective communities. It will recognize and celebrate cities that are engaging their citizens in effective and innovative ways.
