NEW 1.40/1.45m Platinum Jumper Championships; Apply by June 10
Applications are now open for the inaugural USHJA Platinum Jumper Championships. The championships offer individual and team competitions for professional, junior, and amateur riders competing at the 1.40/1.45m level. In addition to the individual and team competitions, riders can qualify for the 2020 USHJA Platinum Masters Training Session with top national and international industry experts.
 
“The Platinum Jumper Championships are the culmination of the USHJA's Jumper footprint on our sport, and we're absolutely overjoyed to be able to start this program this year,” said Larry Langer, chair of the USHJA Emerging Jumper Rider Task Force.

Applications are now open for the Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund /USHJA Emerging Athletes Program, and this year several sessions offer 3-foot sections open to ALL AGES!

We also offer a grant to help participants in the program. Please consider this if you're interested, as we know travel is involved for anyone in our Zone. Our Zone 8 EAP Grant is due April 1!

Clinics Opportunities Are Coming Up in Our Zone!

March 9-10

This two-day clinic is open to riders of all levels. Riders will be grouped together based on experience level of rider/horse combination. Rider cost is $600 per horse and includes one stall with two bags of shavings as well as continental breakfast. Trainers and their established clients are eligible for multi-horse pricing as are riders entering on multiple horses in the clinic.

Auditing opportunities are available with an Early Bird pricing of $40/day or $70 for both days and is available until 5 pm MST, Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

Are you up for the challenge? Over $22,000 in grants and prizes!
Registration for the 2019 USHJA Horsemanship Quiz Challenge is open! The HQC is an online quiz that tests participants' knowledge about horse anatomy, horse care and health, riding theory, stable management, and more horsemanship topics. Open to USHJA members (at any paid membership level) 21 and younger as of Dec. 1, 2018, the quiz offers participants a chance to qualify for the in-person HQC Nationals, which offers $6,000 in grants and prizes, and is held alongside the USHJA Emerging Athletes Program National Training Session.
 
The program is free and runs from February 1 to September 1. 
The USHJA Horsemanship Quiz Challenge awards over $6,000 in grants and prizes with another $16,000 in prizes available through the 30-day HQC Stable Challenge! Don't miss your chance to put your horsemanship knowledge to the test!
