Kitten Shower and CCS Open House
Sunday, April 14th
Please join us for a kitten shower and open house on Sunday, April 14th.    We know that we will soon have an abundance of kittens to care for, and we will need lots of supplies for all their needs.  Our shelter has been renovated in recent months to make it easier for visitors to see and interact with the cats, and for a more stimulating and interesting environment for the kitties.  Enjoy some light refreshments, bring some shower gifts, and have a nice afternoon at the shelter with the cats, staff, and volunteers!

Cat Clinic Closing
March 31, 2019
The Cat Clinic at Cat Care Society will be closing its doors on
March 31, 2019.  The Board of Directors of Cat Care Society made the decision at the February 2019 meeting to close the Cat Care Clinic. There are many factors that influenced this decision including the difficulty of staffing consistently for veterinarians and technicians, the financial challenges presented by the clinic, and most importantly the responsibility to be good stewards of donors' contributions.
Please visit the shelter front desk for a list of veterinary clinics in the area that we are partnering with during this transition.  The Cat Care Society shelter remains open and continues to be a first-class shelter in the community, staying true to our mission of improving the quality of life for homeless, injured, and abused cats in the Denver metropolitan area.

All current and future residents of the shelter will continue to receive the same quality care in all aspects of their lives, including medical needs, as they always have.  Dr. Laura Hedlin and Dr. Laura Servis will still   provide medical care for all the shelter cats.

For those of you who have used the Cat Clinic for your cats, all your cats' records can easily be transferred to your new veterinary clinic. Any prescriptions will have to be renewed at your new veterinary clinic.

We understand that this decision and change may be upsetting.  I am happy to discuss any questions or concerns with you.

Thank you for your patronage of the Cat Care Clinic.

Opt to Adopt
Officer Meow Meow Fuzzy Face
Meet Officer Meow Meow Fuzzy Face!  With a handle like that he must be special.  Officer is a very sweet boy who loves attention. He is 2 years and 6 months old. He came from a hoarding situation where the owner had more than 30 cats living in a small trailer.  This boy isn't fazed by other cats and is very friendly towards people. Officer does have a permanent nasal noise when he breathes which sounds like he's gently snoring all the time, but he is very healthy and the noise is quite whimsical.

Special Adoptions
We're happy for 4 year old King who is a bit shy when there's commotion, but comes alive when in a quiet environment...he's now in a great place.

And 17 year old Ruby went home with her new forever family... she stayed at the shelter for over a year after her human passed away.
We're also glad for these special adoptions...Apollo, an FIV cat, and Gideon, who deals with urinary issues.  They now have loving people to care for them.
