Confirmed cases: Individual Shasta County residents who have had a positive COVID-19 molecular (PCR) test.
Hospitalized: Total number of COVID-positive people in the hospital, including in the ICU.
Negative tests: Total number of negative tests. Some people have had more than one test.
In isolation: People who tested positive for COVID-19, have been confirmed as an unduplicated Shasta County case by public health, are still infectious, and are not in the hospital.
In quarantine: People who are determined by Public Health to be a close contact of a COVID-positive person(s) and are quarantined to prevent potential spread of disease.
Active cases: People who have tested positive for COVID-19, are still infectious, and are isolated (including in the hospital).
Released from isolation: People who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are no longer infectious.
