Happy Holidays!!

At our November meeting everyone was invited to create and bring a holiday card for exchange. Those who participated went home with a card made by a fellow Guild member. Those who didn't bring a card joined in the fun and surprise of seeing the variety of designs, materials and structures used to make the cards.

See below for the next exchange!

New Book Display

Stop by the Elmer E. Rasmuson Library at UAF to view the latest Northwoods Book Arts Guild exhibit, showcasing three books from the summer 2014 Book Arts exhibition. Each book was created in response to a vintage book from the Literacy Council's Forget-Me-Not book store, and coincidentally, each features images of birds. Read more.

NEXT GUILD MEETING

THURSDAY, JANUARY 22, 2015

 Blue Room, Fairbanks Arts Association

Our next meeting will feature the Four Flap Wrapper, a most ingenious structure to encase and protect your artist books - you won't want to miss it! More information to come in early January.

The theme for the book exchange will be Valentines Day. Get a jump start on this favorite holiday by creating a small book to celebrate and exchange. This activity is entirely optional and open to all who wish to join in. Think Red! Think Hearts!

Mark your calendars!
