A Message from Mayor Susan Shin Angulo
|
|
Dear Neighbor:
This Tuesday, at our next council meeting, I will be introducing my proposed budget to council. While this year has been a challenging time for us all, I’m extraordinarily proud to announce that there will be no increase in municipal taxes.
In fulfilling the commitment I made when I first took office, Township Council and I are managing the township budget and our local government responsibly, while making critical investments in public safety, roads, infrastructure, parks, historical sites, and open spaces.
I am extremely proud of this budget and I look forward to sharing additional details about it in the coming weeks.
I’m also excited to announce that this Tuesday’s agenda also includes a Resolution authorizing the Township to move forward with construction of the much anticipated Dog Park at Croft Farm. In our current times, we are mindful of creating outdoor recreational opportunities for our residents and taking advantage of our open spaces. In order to make the dog park a reality in a fiscally responsible way, we are taking advantage of $150,000 in grants to help offset the cost of construction.
I also want to highlight a Township event. Every year, the Cherry Hill Recreation Department proudly hosts our Senior Vendor Fair- providing our senior residents with resources and information from departments within Town Hall and throughout our community.
Although we are not able to hold a live event this year, we are delighted to have a virtual platform that will provide our senior residents with an extensive list of resources that are offered throughout Cherry Hill. I want to thank Jefferson Health for sponsoring this Virtual Vendor Fair and to all of the many organizations that are able to offer their valuable information and resources to our 55 and older group. Please visit our website for this year's Virtual Vendor Fair - it includes a list of resources, virtual events, wellness classes, and so much more.
Finally, I want to wish everyone observing Yom Kippur a meaningful fast and a good year. Please continue to stay safe and be well. I hope to see you all very soon.
Sincerely,
|

This is the LAST CALL for residents--we need to make sure to Fill It Out Now so New Jersey is counted! The next Census doesn't come for another 10 years! The results of this once-a-decade count also determine political representation, including the number of seats each state has in the House of Representatives. Data is also used to draw and re-draw congressionals and state legislative districts, based on where populations have increased or decreased.

We’re halfway to our community goal, but we need your help
|
|
|
The Cherry Hill Environmental Board invites you to join your neighbors who have certified their properties as National Wildlife Federation Wildlife Habitats.
These neighbors have made an effort to restore wildlife habitat by decreasing their lawn, incorporating native plants, and providing food and cover for wildlife.
They are helping us reach our goal of becoming one of only 135 communities in the country recognized as a NWF Certified Habitat Community. You can help too, by visiting www.NWF.org/certify, and following the simple steps to make your yard wildlife friendly. It's easier than you think!
Restoring habitat for native pollinators, birds and amphibians helps maintain a healthy ecosystem. Our air and water become cleaner, and our gardens and farms become more productive.
The certification process is simple, and can serve as a learning tool for your family. Simply visit: www.NWF.org/certify.
Work through the simple checklist, and you may find that your property already qualifies for certification.
Tips on making you yard more wildlife friendly can be found at:
If you have already certified your property, please spread the word! And thank you for providing habitat to our valuable native wildlife!
