I also wanted to give a huge shout out to the youth leaders who helped at the HHSM Laser Tag Tournament this past weekend. It was a great time and we had a ton of fun!
Please continue to pray for our students and adult leaders. You support means more than you know!

Discipleship and Education

How did we get the Bible?   The story of the Bible is almost as miraculous as the Bible itself!   Spread the word to others that we are having a six-session study on Tuesday and Thursday mornings  9 - 10 AM from April 2 until April 18.  (Just three weeks total and just in time for Easter!)

This is a video-based course led by a popular professor from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and  will include discussion and questions and answers.  We will meet in Bldg. E.

No homework.  No cost.  No registration required,  but appreciated if possible.  Email [email protected].

Restore & Rebuild
Our Transitional Housing ministry is looking for new team members and coaches.  Let me know if you are  interested.

We are currently ministering to one single-mom family with rental support and coaching, and giving some  assistance and coaching to two other families.  This ministry of mercy is literally keeping families in decent housing  with support and gospel-encouragement.  I can send you a fuller update if you are interested.   [email protected]

What a blessing to not merely read or grieve about problems in our world, but to have a part in addressing  them to God's glory!  Especially when it comes to children and their well-being.

Thanks Ralph Edwards and Patrick and C.J. McFarland for helping to move a single mom a couple of weeks ago.  Thanks to Blaine Fehrenbacher for cleaning our sidewalks of leaves and acorns every Saturday night!

Children's Ministry News
by Ethan Graves

All the AWANA leaders had a great time at our spring volunteer lunch! We spent our time working together to make sure AWANA is awesome for our children. If you haven't come yet, we would love to see you Wednesday night at 6:45 in building A.

There are a ton of opportunities to get involved in AWANA and Children's Ministry in general! Right now Bible Life subs and AWANA leaders are two of the biggest ways you can participate in what the Lord is doing in the lives of children and families. Bible Life is walking children through the story line of the Bible and on Wednesdays we are seeing hundreds of verses memorized by the children!

Heroes Camp is also coming up quickly! It will be June 17-20. This year we have a renewed vision and believe the Lord will do amazing works in the lives of each camper. You can lead a group of kids, head up games, run afternoon adventure activities and more. Visit  www.hayshills.com/heroescampworkers if you are interested in joining the Heroes Camp Team.

CLC News
by Mitzi Hudgins

Last week at CLC the children enjoyed a visit with Mr. Mike from Austin Reptile Shows!  The children were able to see different reptiles up close and learned some very interesting facts about them!  They were such great listeners and we had some very brave children!

CLC Registration going on NOW!  Hays Hills Baptist Christian Learning Center provides a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, mental, and spiritual development of young children.  Each week our classrooms will focus on a different unit from our WEE Learn curriculum, and the children will learn by participating in the learning centers set up in the classroom.  CLC accepts children for enrollment who are 5 months through 5 years old.   We would love to have your child join us at CLC next year!

For more information you may send an email to  [email protected], or call 512-213-1571.  May you be blessed this week!

From Pastor Aaron

Thursday, architects from Jackson-Galloway will begin the process of analyzing our present facility, our present needs, our growth as a church, our growth as a community and then projecting our future facility needs.

We are thankful for the opportunity we have to bring life-changing hope to an ever changing people through the unchanging gospel! The Lord is using you to reach your neighbors and the nations with the good news of Jesus of Christ.

As the Lord is using us in the lives of others, we're growing. We lost an hour of valuable sleep on Sunday; our children's attendance was down. And yet, we had 274 people worshiping the Lord together in our 10:45am service.

When I arrived over seven years ago and was given an opportunity to preach, I opened God's word to Judges 2 where we read in verse 10:

And all that generation also were gathered to their fathers. And there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord or the work that he had done for Israel.

That morning in 2011 we asked the question together, "What would it take for us to leave a legacy of faithfulness at Hays Hills? What would it take for us to successfully pass the faith from one generation to the next?"

I want to tell you now, seven years later, how proud I am to be a part of Hays Hills. I have seen the fruit of the Spirit in your lives. I have seen within you a deep desire to leave a legacy of faithfulness for generations to come. I have seen within you the courage to embrace change and to sacrifice so that our Savior and His salvation might proclaimed on this hill until the Lord returns. I have seen within you a heart that is eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bonds of peace.

I don't know what all the future holds. But I do know this: if we hold onto our Savior, if we hold onto our mission, and if we hold onto one another -committed to reach the finish line together - we will grow more like Jesus, God will be glorified, and our neighbors and the nations will hear the good news.

Prayer Updates

Our Christian sympathy is extended to Karen Shelton in the loss of her dad, Ron Bruce.

Gerald and Judy Shirey's daughter, has been diagnosed with a rare and painful condition called Mals which only a few surgeons in US treat.  She was hoping to have surgery sometime this year.  Now her husband has been diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer which has spread to major organs.

Sophia Sutton's nephew James who is in a wheelchair with major health conditions, recovering from surgery to help the better of his two kidneys to remove stones.  Past surgeries went well but were followed by serious complications.

Jeanne Jones in need of relief from chronic back pain from a fall several years ago.  Hoping that insurance will approve a spine-stimulator.  She has not been able to be in church for most Sundays in many months.  Send her encouragement at 211 Leisurewoods, Buda, Texas 78610
