V.R. Eaton's Fine Arts Department Wins Big at the Buckleys
V.R. Eaton's production of Matilda the Musical was recently recognized at the 2021 Betty Lynn Buckley Awards at Casa Manana.

Students gathered and attended a virtual awards ceremony from the Eaton High School Performing Arts Center.

Not only did the company receive all but one nomination, the fine arts crew took home awards for Best Student Orchestra, Best Supporting Actor (Carter Vance), Best Actor (Delmond Wolfgramm) and Best Musical. It was the first time in district history a fine arts production won the category of Best Musical.

Warner Simpson from Northwest High School received the Excellence in Costume Design award for his work in their production of Into the Woods.

Isaac Hoffman from Byron Nelson High School received the Excellence in Lighting Design award for his work in their production of Godspell.

Congratulations!

NISD to Change Pre-AP Course Names
Beginning with the 2021-2022 school year, Northwest ISD will be changing the name of all Pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP) courses to Honors. This change will not affect the quality of the curriculum or the instruction provided by our teachers. The courses will continue to prepare students for Advanced Placement (AP), Dual Credit, and OnRamps courses.
Reminder: Register Your Child for Next Year!
If you have not already done so, please take 15 minutes to register your child for the 2021-2022 school year.

Registering your child — and providing annual proof of residency — as early as possible is one way that you can help your campus and the district prepare for the next school year.
