Join us for a rollicking evening of Megillah reading, frivolity, and a hilarious spiel. Yummy food and an open bar will help your spirits soar. Special thanks to the TSMRJ for bartending. No RSVP required.

Ahoy! 'Tis time for th' annual Purim Carnival! Kids of all ages are invited to eat hamantaschen, play games, 'n have a pirate-themed adventure. Be sure to wear yer costume, perhaps a three-cornered Haman/Pirate hat? RSVP.

Purim books for all ages are on display on the table and carousel in the library. We have fiction, commentary, cookbooks, traditions, and even a play. Stop by to browse and check them out!

Join us for a discussion of  Marjorie Morningstar by Herman Wouk. When first published, this book created lots of controversy and discussion. For many, rereading it should be thought-provoking, and for those to whom it's new, it will bring an historical approach to one aspect of American Jewish life in the 1950s. A light breakfast will be served. No RSVP required.
Green Team Meeting

All are welcome to attend the next meeting of the Green Team. Gary Friend, TS president, will provide an update on the Capital Campaign, its priorities and decision process, and the green-related initiatives it includes.  The Green Team will present and discuss a modified plan designed to integrate our environmental / social action objectives with the current version of the TS modernization project.

Join the TS Brotherhood for the annual bowling night to be held at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The event is open to all Temple Sinai members. $5 covers 2-3 games, shoe rentals, food, and beverages.  Learn more and RSVP.
TSWRJ Authors' Roundtable
Saturday, March 23, 9 AM-1 PM
After registration and coffee, join us for a 9:30 (optional) Shabbat service led by Rabbi Goldstein. Promptly at 10:30, Tara Sonenshine will moderate a stimulating panel discussion with four leading women authors. After the panel, join one of the four for conversation over a boxed lunch in a smaller setting. Participants may buy the authors' books and have them autographed. RSVP. 

Remembering Amos Oz

Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Amos Oz, beloved author and thought leader and honor his commitment to activism and hope. Speakers will include Rabbi Jonathan Roos, Jeremy Ben-Ami, Roger Cohen, and Fania Oz-Salzberger. This program is being organized by J Street.  RSVP now.

Interested in volunteering as a mentor?
A friendly, polite smart, young man, who will be starting high school next year, would like a mentor. He has high-functioning autism that doesn't get in his relating to others. He likes to swim, play chess and video games. Email us to learn more.

Learn about Sinai House! The 5th and 6th grades will be having a special program about homelessness and Sinai House this Sunday. Stop by the Kesher Space between religious school sessions to munch on baked goods and chat with Sinai House Board and Staff members. You can also p ick up a lawn sign to help us publicize the upcoming Tricia Davis 5K!

Three Weddings and a Statement

With great joy and meaning, Washington Hebrew Congregation and Adas Israel Congregation invite all to a very special event welcoming three couples into the covenant of marriage. These couples could not or would not legally marry in Israel under the auspices of the ultra-Orthodox Chief Rabbinate. The marriage ceremonies will be followed by a "triple-ly joyous" wedding reception for all attendees.  Learn more and RSVP.
