"I loved seeing the interaction between the Melodores and our students.  It was inspiring seeing them work in conjunction with each other and see the creative juices flowing.  I couldn't stop smiling after hearing them perform their song after the break-out sessions," said Melissa Jose, Carondelet's Parent Association Board President.  Read More.

Lenten Project restores families

Get on the Bus - Lenten Project 2019
Get on the Bus - Lenten Project 2019
For our Lenten Project this year we are partnering with Get On The Bus. We  will  sponsor a bus trip for children, from the Oakland area, to visit their parents at High Desert State Prison in May.

When children visit their parents in prison, the day of traveling and visiting is long and emotional. We know that comfort items and ways to stay connected with parents are important.

We will provide a stay connected bag for each child.  This bag includes crayons, pens and pencils, stickers, cards, envelopes, and stamps, so each child can write letters and stay in touch with his or her parent. The stay connected bag also has a small picture frame so each child can have a keepsake picture of child and parent taken during the visit. Finally, all children receive a teddy bear to cuddle with on their bus trip home.

Items needed between March 18 and April 12.

* Seniors are collecting stationary, pens, and pencils.

* Juniors are collecting picture frames and stickers.

* Sophomores are collecting colored pencils, crayons, and pencil pouches.

* Freshman are collecting teddy bears.

One More Week!

Update: Grad Night volunteers needed - May 26

Pay it forward: Grad Night still needs chaperones and volunteers. For the parents/guardians of juniors, this is the perfect opportunity to have a fresh look into Grad Night for your rising seniors. Help us set a new trend that pays it forward and offer to volunteer as a chaperone!

To learn more, go to  CERVIS  to sign up or text Dorothy Lowery at 530-320-5892.

The Parent Association needs volunteers for  Grad  Night. Some of the volunteer opportunities are tasks people can complete from home and other tasks require chaperones, food items, set up, and other needs.

Thank you for helping our students make safe choices. Click the Grad Night link to learn more about our  all-night, drug and alcohol-free celebration for Carondelet and De La Salle High School's graduating seniors .
Update: additional graduation tickets

All extra tickets have been claimed. You will be notified by e-mail from Donna Akridge if you received an extra ticket.  Look for upcoming information in E-News.

Do you have additional family members who want to attend? The Garaventa Center does not require a ticket on the day of graduation. We will also have a live stream for out of town family members to watch. Thank you for supporting the Carondelet additional, graduation ticket process.

Parking lot reminders:
Drop Off Procedures

In order to keep morning drop-off as safe and efficient as possible, please drop your daughter off in our drop-off zone near the Carondelet Gym. Pulling into numbered parking spaces or pulling over in front of the Main Building is not permitted but, more importantly, it creates traffic congestion and a disruption of traffic flow.

We know the mornings are hectic, and we just want to create the safest and smoothest process for all families.  Thank you.
Re-enrollment Registration

Carondelet's student Re-enrollment Registration for the 2019-2020 school year will open in April. Look in upcoming E-News for your daughter's Re-enrollment Registration dates.
