2020 Legislative Session
We continue to monitor any legislative movements, and we are keeping watch of our priority bills and will provide updates as they occur. Governor DeSantis has delayed his review of Florida's upcoming FY20/21 budget as he awaits congressional action on a federal stimulus package.

Please continue to encourage your communities and networks to complete the census. At this point in time, only 57.8% of Florida homes have completed the census .
Florida to Participate in USDA's
Pandemic EBT Program
On Wednesday, Governor DeSantis announced that Florida will participate in the USDA's Pandemic EBT Program (P-EBT). The Families First Coronavirus Response Act allows for states to issue P-EBT as a supplemental benefit for households with children who temporarily lost access to free and reduced-price school meals due to pandemic-related school closures. Families eligible to receive free or reduced-priced school meals will automatically receive this benefit during the month of June, no further action is needed from recipients at this time.

2020 Census
Please Share with Your Networks!
Approximately only 57.8% of households in Florida have completed the Census.

Only 55.2% of households in Miami-Dade have responded.

Please reach out your networks and remind them that federal funding for Florida relies on an accurate count. Programs for healthcare, education, transportation and housing; strategic planning for private and public organizations and representation depend on an accurate count.
A complete and correct count in Florida’s communities help young children thrive because communities will receive their fair share to support programs, such as health insurance, hospitals, child care, food assistance, schools, and early childhood development.

We continue to urge you to help us spread the word to please complete the 2020 Census at http://2020census.gov/

The Census is safe, it's easy, it's important!
