Polsinelli Opens Miami Office; Expands Presence in Southeast Region  
Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli has expanded its footprint in the southeastern region of the country with the opening of its 22nd office in Miami. 'Elbow grease' may get the job done but could prove painful

orthopedic surgeon Alejandro Badia MD, who calls the medical condition "lateral epicondylitis" or "tennis elbow," a persistent, debilitating injury that may develop in anyone who repeatedly overtaxes tendons and muscles in the forearm and elbow.  Forearm muscles control the extension and bending of the wrist; tendons connect muscles to bones. 

Tennis elbow primarily affects the extensor carpi radialis brevis (ECRB) muscle and tendon, resulting in often excruciating pain on the outside (lateral side) of the arm near the elbow.  Besides tennis players and other athletes, including anglers (avid fishermen), factory workers and tradesmen, including carpenters, plumbers and painters, are prone to the injury.

Based in Dania Beach, the South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum (SFHEF) serves healthcare professionals in Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties plus the Treasure Coast. The SFHEF is the local chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and currently boasts over 950 members.

For the past 43 years, Aurelio Fernandez III, FACHE, has worked in healthcare in the South Florida area, spending the past 12 years with Memorial Healthcare System (MHS), and serving as its president and CEO for the past three years.The system includes Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Regional Hospital South, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, Memorial Hospital West, Memorial Hospital Miramar, Memorial Hospital Pembroke and Memorial Manor nursing home.

"I've worked in hospitals, physician practices, joint ventures and more; I've done it all," said Fernandez of his years of experience in the field, adding that he has worked in all three South Florida counties.

During his tenure as Memorial's CEO, Fernandez has worked toward accomplishing five major goals. These include MHS becoming the safest healthcare system in the country; enhancing the culture of the organization; expanding pediatric care to Palm Beach County; becoming the most technologically advanced healthcare system in South Florida; and expanding the system's clinical integrative model.
