On Friday, May 22, The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) presented "Service Authorization and Care Planning During the COVID-19 Emergency." The webinar reviewed service authorization and care planning doc umentation requirements for the Day Services Retainer and Community Habilitation Residential (CH-R) Programs, and described the COVID Life Plan and Staff Action Plan Addendum for day services and the CH-R Service Authorization Provider Letter.  The slides from the presentation and the recording can be found here. 

 

Employee Health Screening and Temperature Checks

OPWDD's April 20, 2020 " Revised Staffing Guidance for Management of COVID-19"  details the requirements for health checks for all staff working in certified residential settings. Some staff have raised concerns over the collection of temperatures and privacy.  In response to Chapter staff concerns, we reached out to OPWDD's Director of Statewide Services. NYN Webinar on Effects of COVID-19 on Nonprofit Providers 

New York Nonprofit Media is holding a webinar on Thursday, June 4 at 2:30 p.m., focusing on the short-and long-term effects the COVID-19 pandemic will have on the nonprofit providers.
