Celebrate together with other new and existing USGBC - Missouri Gateway Chapter members Tuesday, November 17th, 2020 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Come socialize, relax with a member show & tell green building principle, and get acquainted with one another!

Rooftop Seedums will present the new green roof of COCA (Center of Creative Arts) in University City. Providing insight on live roof systems and how they contribute to achieving LEED certification. A PRIZE will be awarded to one Fall Member Social participant and we will take a 2020 member photo to celebrate the over 40 virtual events we've had since April 2020 and numerous member successes! Congrats new and existing members we are so glad you are part of this Missouri Gateway green building community. Thank you!
Green Professional Building Skills Training (GPRO) Operations + Maintenance (O+M) Essentials provides building professionals with strategies to improve efficiency, comfort, and health in our existing buildings.

Participate Tuesday November, 11th through Friday November, 13th from 1:00 to 5:00 pm each day and leave with at least three immediately actionable measures and the next steps needed to achieve them.

Teaching the people who maintain buildings the tools to integrate high-performance maintenance practices into their everyday work strengthens this #greenbuildingsarebetter community!

Tuesday, November 17th from 12:00 - 1:15 pm Angela A. Moore presents Soldiers Memorial Military Museum's Case for LEED & TRUE a Road to IMPACT original session.

Renovating with sustainable building design principles of the LEED v2009 NC rating system the Soldiers Memorial Military Museum emphasized reuse of existing materials and recycling demolition materials - leading to a greater understanding of the importance of material reuse to achieve TRUE (Total Resource Use and Efficiency) Gold certification, with an overall diversion rate of 90%.

Let's discuss the importance of indoor air quality (IAQ); specifically health problems caused by indoor air pollutants such as mold and mildew, gases, and airborne germs. Chris will share factors that impact IAQ and ways you can improve the quality of your air as well as the resources available to help you or your organization achieve safer, healthier, and efficient air quality!

We're excited to share the new website launch for Missouri Green Schools! MGS is a program that USGBC-MGC manages in partnership with the Missouri Environmental Education Association (MEEA).

Seeking pilot schools for 2020-21 Missouri Green Schools is a free tracking and recognition program designed to help PreK-12 schools in Missouri:
  • improve the health and wellness of students and staff,
  • reduce environmental impact, and 
  • incorporate environmental and sustainability education.
