River Parents and Guardians,

Though we do not currently have plans for a campus closure due to COVID-19, we feel it is our responsibility to prepare for all possible scenarios. In the event we close the River Campus in response to COVID-19, we would continue classes via distance learning.

To prepare for this scenario, River Campus faculty are becoming familiar with distance learning techniques. From online conferencing platforms to flipped classroom best practices, guides are preparing themselves to teach remotely, if necessary. Several guides have experience with such and are facilitating learning with their peers.

With Spring Break coming up, it would be best if all students had their books and materials with them at home. If your student is working from home this week, please schedule a time for them to come by campus to retrieve their materials. Campus is open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and will close at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The River Campus, including the Business Office, will be closed for the entirety of Spring Break.

Please take a moment to complete a short survey on device and internet access at home by visiting this link. We request that one parent/guardian from each household completes it.

Watch for more information from Ted later in the week and check out this page for all the latest information at Headwaters School.
