Our 35 credit Master of Music in Global and Contemporary Jazz Studies is located in the jazz capital of the world, New York City , and approaches our curriculum from a global perspective, embracing the exciting variety of world music and other conceptual influences we believe are essential for an aspiring jazz musician in today’s interconnected age.

Under the direction of Emmy-award winning jazz pianist and composer D.D. Jackson , our degree combines individual performance and composition lessons, ensemble work, and courses in arranging, composition, pedagogy, and history. All at an affordable CUNY tuition rate, and taking advantage of Brooklyn College's brand new Tow Center for the Performing Arts .
