Czech Newspaper Museum to Open in La Grange The Texas Czech Heritage & Cultural Center in La Grange will hold a Grand Opening Dedication of the Czech Newspaper Museum-České Noviny Muzeumon Sat., March 16 at 2 pm. The new museum is a replica of an early print shop and will tell the story of many early Czech newspapers printed across Texas. Also included in the museum is a printing press, gas engine, and related equipment used to print those newspapers. Read more.
Houston Saengerbund Hosts German Music and Language Scholarship Competition March 30 The Houston Saengerbund is excited to present a new opportunity to foster German language and music by engaging in community outreach. For the very first time, high school seniors from Houston area schools will participate in a German music and language scholarship competition at the Houston Saengerbund on Sat., March 30 at 7 pm.
