The next new member orientation session will take place on Sunday, March 17 after service in the Fillmore room in the office building. Pre-registration is not necessary but is helpful; there is a signup sheet on the back wall. This is an opportunity to make sure you have a basic understanding of Unity teachings, ask your questions, and determine whether membership feels right for you. Everyone is welcome, no matter how long you have been attending Unity.

Tim Findlay is always an interesting and entertaining speaker. He will speak to things that are both of present interest and things that catch his interest. Tim says, "Words and their hidden meanings interest me, like charming C(Harming), spelling (SPELL)ing, entrance En(Trance), stuff like that, The shutdown of the Solar observatories, (2xHawaii, Australia, Chile, Spain, etc). I'm thinking to start a web site, and doing interviews with people from the Island who have had interesting experiences which have not been told before, things like ghost stories, Sasquatch encounters, a lake monster at Cameron lake, UFO's, the dragons and fairy folk and whole gamut of stuff like that. I will get out there and see if I can catch some of these things on video camera and splice that in with back running interviews. I'm thinking of calling it "Mysteries, Meditations, and Metaphysics from the Mid Island and beyond." So it would be a web site with links to a YouTube channel. The field work promises to be lots of fun..." Let's join with Tim to see what interesting stories he has to share with us.

Unity Worldwide Ministries has provided a generous supply of support packages for cancer patients and "Spiritual Support for Caregivers" booklets. These are free; please take them and offer them to friends, family, your doctor's office and anywhere else where they may be useful.

Q Points
Unity of Nanaimo collects Q points. Cards are available at the information table with Unity's Q-card number, or you can transfer points to Unity Church of Nanaimo at the Customer Service Desk. Points are used to buy turkeys for the Christmas hampers prepared by Unity Centre of Nanaimo.
Bottle Recycling for Unity. Individuals can now take their bottle returns to The Return It depot on Hayes Rd and ask that their refund be credited to the Unity account.
