What adventures await us?
We are so happy to be in Week 3 of Summer STEM! Each day is an amazing day of learning and playing.

Swimming is going well at the YMCA Complex. Twelve of our children went kayaking at the Anne Springs Close Greenway and the chaperone's phone fell into Lake Haigler! It is still there!

Swimming is still taking place on Wednesday and Friday from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, thanks to the YMCA Complex.

On July 13th and 15th, the groups will finish kayaking and begin fishing. We have planned many opportunities for the children to do more outside of the community. This includes movies each week, courtesy of Regal Summer Movie Express.

For the smaller children, we are planning more field trips to play and learn. This includes a future visit to Sweetwater Farms and other local play centers.

For tech-savvy children, we are planning zombie scavenger hunts in uptown Charlotte. They will be in teams and will need a device with Wi-Fi capabilities.

Right before school starts in the fall, the boys are taking a 2-night camping trip to Lake Wateree, SC. This experience is life-changing and includes basic life skills training. No technology devices are allowed except for the camp leader. Additional details will be provided in a future edition.
