Snow Days Protocol Reminder
In the event of a weather-related closing:
  • On Sundays, the decision to close Shorashim will be made by 7am.
  • On weekdays, Shorashim and Havurat Torah will be cancelled if either White Plains or Scarsdale public schools are closed. If those public schools are open but decide to cancel after-school activities, we will also cancel Shorashim and Havurat Torah.

We will relay this information to all our families by the following methods:
  • There will be an outgoing voice message on the Education Department’s School Closing Hotline, extension #158, (select extension after dialing the temple’s main number).
  • We will provide this information to Channel 12 news.
  • An email will be sent to all our Shorashim and Havurat Torah families.
  • We will make every effort to post closings on the TIC website.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, we are here for you. Contact Lisa Schwartz at 914-948-2800, x122,

Lisa Schwartz
