On Saturday, November 17 at 10 a.m. Student Senate will be hosting  Project Z: Dialogue in Community . This event is intended to provide an opportunity for sustained dialogue on issues facing our campus community. The intent is to create an environment in which people are welcome to share diverse ideas and thoughts on a variety of topics. We all have unique stories and experiences that deserve a platform for sharing and learning. Please join and help create the dialogue that we intend to develop. Please RSVP , there will be snacks available.

The Luther College music departmen t presents fall opera scenes performed by the Opera Workshop course, a class that allows for students from all majors to learn about and prepare scenes from operas of all different types.This event takes place in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson Noble Hall of Music at 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 16 and 1 p.m. Saturday, November 17.

Equip Yourself for Holiday Gatherings - I nterested in learning some practical skills for how to communicate across the political divide?  Founded after the 2016 election, Better Angels is an organization aimed at depolarizing our political discourse.  The CEPE is offering a Better Angels Skills Workshop, to be led by Bill Doherty, Better Angels co-founder.  See why these workshop are being offered across the country. Open to all.

RERUNS

Center Stage Series presents the Lorelei Ensemble Saturday, November 17, 7:30 p.m. in the Center for Faith and Life, Main Hall. Led by Luther alumna Beth Willer ‘03, Lorelei reinvents music of the medieval, Renaissance, and baroque periods to reveal the extraordinary flexibility and strength of the human voice. Get your tickets at the ticket office or online at tickets.luther.edu . Tickets are FREE for students with CAF, and general admission tickets are also available for students.

In order to ensure that all employees' hours are accurately recorded as worked, the submission and approval deadlines for Web Time Entry for the biweekly pay cycles will change. The change will be effective for the 11/03/18-11/16/18 pay period. Starting with this payroll, employees, both regular and student, will have until midnight on the last Friday of the pay period to enter and submit their hours. Supervisors will have until noon on the Monday following the last day of the pay period to approve hours. Please call 563-387-1135 or email  [email protected]  with questions.

Textbooks for J-term Study Abroad classes are now available to purchase or rent in the Book Shop.
