DO YOU WANT TO GIVE BACK TO THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL COMMUNITY?

Have you been thinking of stepping up into an ISPTSA role? This is the time to make the move! The nominations committee is now accepting inquiries for ISPTSA board positions for 2021-2022—and don't worry, an inquiry is just an opportunity to explore what positions are available without a firm commitment. No matter how much time you have to give, how much volunteering you've done in the past, or what grade level your students are in, your involvement in the ISPTSA will make a difference in the International School community for years to come.

Thank you to Angelika Koch-Leibmann, Beverly Ni and Meribeth Nordloef-Pedersen for volunteering at the General Membership Meeting to steer the nominations committee for ISPTSA.

Please direct your interest to nominations@isptsa.org
NEED: EMPTY 2 LITER BOTTLES!

We need your help! IS Eighth Grade Science will be doing a fun experiment for Focus Week Wednesdays using 2 liter bottles, and we still need to collect a lot more. Please bring any empty, clean and cap-free 2 liter bottles to either Mr. Stephen Miller's or Mr. Wesley Hung's classrooms this week. Thank you!
PTSA NEWS
WELCOME BACK, TITANS!

Hopefully you saw this "Welcome Back Titans" sign on the lawn this week. The PTSA thought this would be a good way to welcome students and staff back to the first full week of in-person school since March 2020. We hope all students and staff had a great week back.

GOLDEN ACORN AWARD NOMINATIONS

Nominations Due Wednesday, May 12

We are now accepting applications for the Golden Acorn award. Our chair for this committee is Li Wu, the 2019–2020 recipient. The Golden Acorn is a high honor awarded by the ISPTSA to a school or community volunteer in recognition of their dedication and service to children and youth. The ISPTSA has awarded this honor to recipients since 1994

If you feel someone in our PTSA community or the community at large deserves this award, please complete this nomination award form and send it in. The committee will accept nominations until Wednesday, May 12. The recipient will be honored at the June ISPTSA General Membership meeting.

Any questions, please contact Li at golden-acorn-nomination@isptsa.org.
