To help language students prepare for Finals , the Language Learning Center in Main 215 is open ADDITIONAL hours each day Saturday - Tuesday (December 8-11) for tutoring. Schedule will be posted in Main Bldg and on the Modern Languages website .

Luther College Ministries is holding a Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols at 9 p.m. Sunday, December 9, in the Main Hall of the Center for Faith and Life.

Shuttle Service Announcement: Implementation of the new reservation policy begins with the January 6 return shuttles. Reservations made less than 4 days (96 hours) prior to the date of departure have a late fee of $10 non-refundable. Ticket purchases close 2 days (48 hours) before the shuttle leaves. PLEN Seminar for Women in STEM, January 14-18, 2019 in Washington, D.C. While women’s participation in the STEM field has grown in recent years, men still far outnumber women across the sector, especially in physics, engineering, and computer science. The PLEN Women in STEM Policy seminar offers undergraduate women a valuable opportunity to hear firsthand from senior women in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors. LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE! December 7 is the due date for books checked out from the Main Stacks by students on or before Sunday, December 2. Books may be renewed once online or by bringing them in physically to the circulation desk if you have exceeded the renewal limit. The new due date is January 30, the last day of J-Term. Click on "Library Account" online , and sign in with your NorseKey to see what you have checked out and when it is due.

Hot Reads for Cold Nights.  Love reading? Love winning prizes? Curl up with a book this winter and participate in Preus Library’s Hot Reads for Cold Nights . By reading books during winter break and J-term, you can earn chances to win fun prizes. Open to all students, faculty, and staff, whether you are on or off campus for J-term. Peace Scholar Applications, Due February 1 -- Sophomores and Juniors interested in studying in Norway this summer are invited to apply to the Peace Scholars program. An outgrowth of the Nobel Peace Prize Forum, this scholarship provides funding for two students to study for a week at the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue in Lillehammer, and then for six weeks at the University of Oslo. Details can be found at: https://peacescholars. wordpress.com/ .
