Flattening the Curve Is Cancelling Tournaments
As sporting events across the country are cancelled to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in public gatherings, "flatten the curve" is often cited. This article provides an in depth explanation into how that helps limit outbreaks. Cancellations and postponements have now reached fishinng tournaments with numerous events from college to Tour level events being postponed. These tournaments have a significant economic impact on the host cities. Numerous sport shows have also been cancelled. Let's hope everyone continues to practice social distancing on the water by themselves or with only 1-2 other people.

Tour The Big Bite Baits Plant With Hallman
Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a major plastic company? Bradley Hallman takes you through the Big Bite Baits plant in Eufaula, AL in his latest YouTube video, giving you some insight on how things work. Bradley gets to see some of Big Bites most popular shapes including one of the hottest new baits on the market, the Kamikaze Swimon in the "Flamethrower" color. The "Flamethrower" color was developed as a result of the extremely muddy conditions that many of our lakes and rivers have experienced this year. Big Bite Baits sold over 1,000 bags of the new Kamikaze Swimon in "Flamethrower" and "GP Flamethrower" at the recent Bassmaster Classic expo in Birmingham, and it continues to be a top seller on their website and at retailers around the country.

5. Baits Not Being Talked About
The Lunker Lure Rattleback Jig rose to prominence in the 90s with anglers like Denny Brauer, Tommy Biffle and Randy Blaukat all using the jig for major tournament wins. It's most recent Tour level win came at the 2009 Elite at Lake Wheeler. A true flipping jig it features a flat eye hook and premium heavy wire Gamakatsu hook. The number one feature of the jig is the loud rattle it features molded right into the back of the head. The rattle is molded to the head in a way that allows plastic baits to be slid up on the hook all the way to the head between the rattle and hook shank. With all the rain and dirty water across the country this season a rattling jig can provide great added fish attraction in stained or clear water at a time when few people use rattling jigs.

Combining Crappie, Bass and Electronics
Electronics have advanced tremendously in the past couple years with Garmin, Humminbird and Lowrance all launching new technologies. Anglers can now see fish, and make specific casts to them while seeing how those fish react to their lure on every cast. The Bass Tank in Oklahoma specializes in electronics installation, education and full customer support at the highest levels.
At The Bass Tank, our experts match you with the right electronics, provide professional installation, and educate you how to maximize your results while providing full customer support throughout the entire process.
The Bass Tank was founded in 2018 by two experienced fisherman, John Soukup and Scott Palmer. It began when John had a Garmin unit installed on his boat and it was not installed correctly. Scott, who is an engineer by trade, ended up helping John by properly reinstalling the units on John’s boat. It became clear to them that many other anglers have had similar issues and they began to brainstorm how to become a part of the solution. As fisherman themselves, the ultimate satisfaction for The Bass Tank comes from assisting customers in catching more fish. This is accomplished by getting them the right equipment, with the correct installation, and teaching customers how to leverage their electronics.
John is the only pro angler in history to fish the top level bass tournament, Forrest Wood Cup in 2018, and the top level crappie tournament, Mr. Crappie Classic in 2019, which he placed 2nd with his teammate, Zeke Anderson. We are bringing our expertise on the water to help our customers in a way that’s never been done before.
