November 2, 2020
Dear 5th Grade Parents,
We are excited to announce the 2020-21 “Moving On, Giving Back” program. We are planning exciting activities and celebrations for our students’ final year at Dorchester Elementary School.
The program will begin with a Virtual Kickoff Meeting for students and parents on Monday, November 16, at 9:00 am. The fifth graders will view the presentation on the screens in their classrooms, the remote teachers will provide their students with access information, and all parents can join the session using the following details:
Join Zoom Meeting
Meeting ID: 978 1031 1745
Passcode: 604179
The meeting will feature guest speaker, Elissa Grabow, who will speak about the importance of philanthropy and inspire students to give back to their community. Immediately following, parents can remain on the Zoom session and learn more about what we’re planning for this year.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in the “Moving On, Giving Back” Logo Contest.
The Class of 2021’s theme is “Can’t Mask Our Pride,” and students are invited to submit a hand-drawn logo to Mrs. Hansen. The winning selection will be featured on “Moving Up, Giving Back” program materials, including the Moving Up ceremony tee-shirts worn by students at the end of the year. The deadline to submit is Friday, November 13.
We look forward to seeing you at the kick off. If you cannot make it, a recording of the presentation will be sent out.
Keep an eye on WCLPFA.com and the Woodcliff Weekly for more information and announcements. Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
Thank you,
