John Edward Benek 1953 - 2018

John Edward Benek went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 17, 2018.

John was born Sept. 5, 1953. He was a 1971 Graduate of Wadsworth High School and Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for the City of Wadsworth, Super 8 Motel, and Summit Racing Equipment.

John is preceded in death by father, John C. Benek.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Lynne Benek, of Akron; mother, Phyllis Benek, of Wasdsorth; children: Jessica Heppert, Leslie (Dave) Youmans, Margaret (Jason) Boggs, all of Wadsworth, Carolynne (Tim) Mansfield of Cuyahoga Falls, and John (Samantha) Cain of New Franklin; ex-wife, Bonnie Benek, of Rittman; siblings: Thom (Vicki), Ron (Mary), Patti (Dennis) and Conni, and 10 grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
