Governor's Business Plan Contest
Apply for the Wisconsin Governor's Business Plan Contest by January 31 at 5:00 pm. The contest connects up-and-coming entrepreneurs with a statewide network of community resources, expert advice and mentoring, possible sources of capital, etc.

Contestants also benefit from valuable public and media exposure and have a chance to win cash and in-kind prizes. Classmunity, Polco, and MobCraft are a few examples of companies who have previously participated in the competition.

If you would like to learn more about the contest and the benefits of participating, attend the upcoming BPC Info Session in Madison on Wednesday, January 22 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

iButtonLink Launches Accredited Calibration Services
iButtonLink now offers a 3 Point Accredited Temperature Calibration service. Their ISO 17025 accredited calibration service is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) through the National Accreditation Board (ANAB). The calibration services will improve the accuracy of temperature sensors and therefore provide better data.

Varsity Image Scoring Tables recently joined the Innovation Center as an affiliate client. Varsity Image specializes in scoring tables for arenas, colleges, schools, churches, and indoor athletic events. They have shipped over 12,000 scoring tables worldwide.

Tech Madness
Wisconsin Inno hosts the annual Tech Madness contest to raise awareness of local startups and tech-enabled businesses who are growing and have raised funding. Nominations are now being accepted. In March, the selected companies will be unveiled in brackets and matchups. The community then votes for the companies they would invest in. The contest generates over 500,000 votes each year.
