Clean Power Alliance Offers $50 Bill Credits to Small Businesses

The Clean Power Alliance is offering a one-time $50 bill credit to its small business customers who have had to reduce hours or temporarily close due to COVID-19. Customers must be on GS-1 or GS-2 rates and must sign up for a payment plan through Southern California Edison by calling (800) 655-4555. Clean Power Alliance will apply your $50 bill credit as soon as your next electric bill, and you can get this electric bill assistance even if you're also receiving federal CARES Act benefits. These bill credits, up to $1,000,000, will be given on a first-come first-served basis, so call now! For more information about the program, please visit the Clean Power Alliance COVID-19 website.
Free COVID-19 Testing for the Public Available
The Ventura County Health Care Agency has opened up drive-through COVID-19 testing sites for the general public at locations across the County, including one in the main parking lot at Moorpark College. They test for COVID-19 (not for antibodies) through a self-administered nose swab test. For more information, please visit the City's COVID-19 portal .
Local COVID-19 Business Resources Update
Our partners at the Economic Development Collaborative have published a comprehensive update to their COVID-19 Business Resources website . The site contains specific sections for business owners, self-employed individuals, non-profits, and employees. The site also contains re-opening information, public health guidelines, and information about financing programs.
