I received some exceedingly sad news this morning from TBE congregant Andrew Sverdlove.
"While camping and hiking Yesterday morning in SHAHARUT mountains near Kibbutz Grofit in Aravah of Israel where my grandson Michael Gerard Sverdlove was volunteering, he arose to see the sun rise and fell off the mountain and died. Mike was 23-years old."
Andrew was exceedingly proud of Michael and spoke of him just recently during the "Wow of the Week" at Kabbalat Shabbat services. I've spoken with Andrew and the funeral and shiva will be out of town, but he will share any relevant information that is forthcoming. Meanwhile, our hearts go out to his family.
May the mourners be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
