New Grant Opportunity
After-school Meals Program Request for Qualifications (RFQ)
The Children’s Trust is looking to fund one entity as an approved Department of Health (DOH) After-school Meals Program (AMP) Food Sponsor in Miami-Dade County to provide daily snacks (during after-school hours), lunches (when programs operate during full days), supper (for sites serving participants in need) and beverages for participating children in The Children’s Trust funded youth development (YD) programs. This critical nutrition component supports the health and development of participating children and youth.
Help Me Grow Request for Proposals (RFP)
The Children’s Trust is looking to fund one qualified entity to implement the Help Me Grow Florida (HMGF) system model for early identification of developmental and/or behavioral concerns in children ages birth through eight years old and link their families to community-based services and supports.

As providers, you are in a unique position to help direct families on filling out the census and informing them that it's safe, easy and important. Remember, the individuals you serve are often those who will most benefit from an accurate census count.

2020-21 Renewals Timeline and Data Entry Reminder
Attention all Trust-funded providers! Please note the renewals of our major initiatives will start in March and end in May 2020. Your mid-year performance will be used as basis for renewals. For example, we will use services through January 31, 2020, for contracts with a start date of August 1, 2019. Therefore, it is imperative that your data is up to date in SAMIS. If you are experiencing any issues with data entry, please inform your program manager asap. As a reminder, the due date for services provided through January 31, is February 18. Data for our board resolutions will be pulled on February 28. Any data entered beyond that date will not be taken into consideration for renewals.

Florida Foster Care Review, which advances the safety, stability and success of abused and neglected children, youth and young adults by connecting them to essential services, healthy relationships and forever families, seeks caring community members to volunteer 1 weekday a month for a minimum of 1 year to serve on its Citizen Review Panel (CRP); volunteers must be at least 25 years old. The CRP reviews active, judge-referred child welfare court cases at the Children's Courthouse.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security began implementing its new public charge regulation on February 24.
