On March 8th, 9th graders enrolled in Dawson County Junior High School participated in a "TEEN MAZE" coordinated by Family Connection's Substance Abuse Task Force. The purpose of the maze was to ch allenge students to graduate, attend college and obtain a career without getting blocked by obstacles such as alcohol, drugs, probation, and a variety of other hurdles that could prevent them from reaching their goals.
Per Nancy Stites, Family Connection Coordinator, "This event took place because of the enthusiasm, generosity and concern for our youth by the agencies and organizations participating! Another reason we love Dawson County!"
It is with great appreciation to the 20+  agencies who volunteered their time and efforts that we at  Family Connection declare TEEN MAZE 2019 a SUCCESS
April has been designated Child Abuse Prevention Month in the United States since 1983, and thought to be a time to  recommit to giving every child a chance to succeed and to ensuring that every child grows up in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment that is free from abuse and neglect.
