Dear Parents,
During Lent we hear the word "Sacrifice" used often. The meaning of this word is "an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy."
What can we do in our lives to show the Lord that we know and love Him.
It only takes one gesture of kindness that can make a difference in someone's life.
A smile, kind word, holding the door, asking someone how they are doing, offering to help with something...these seem like everyday things to do.
No one knows what is happening in someone's life on any given day or what they have on their mind that is troubling them. An act of kindness no matter how big or small goes a long way.
During Lent let us try to be kinder to each other and spread that kindness to those in need as well.
Quote from Pope Francis:
"As we start the journey of Lent, with its emphasis on fasting, prayer, and almsgiving, we have a chance at a new beginning in our own lives."

Tuition Agreement Forms are due to the school office from all families who have children entering grades 1-8. Please complete the TAF, sign it and return it with the required non refundable $150 registration fee to the school office now.

We are partnering with the parish for a Lent Event to spread goodness to others through simple acts of kindness. Put your faith into action in the world!
The children will be receiving 5 Be The Good kindness cards to do one act a week during lent. (They can
certainly in hopes that others will pass the kindness on do more) The card gets passed along with the act.
We will display our acts on hearts that will be displayed on crosses in the school. The goal is to fill up the cross with acts of kindness as a sign for our love for Jesus who gave us the greatest love when he sacrificed his life for us!

Lenten Rice Bowls
During Lent our community will participate in CRS Rice Bowl, a faith-in-action program that invites us to encounter our neighbor, as companions on the journey, through prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
We will collect your CRS Rice Bowls at the end of Lent.

Art Smart Studio Class 
Button & Glass Bead Mosaic Crosses
Artists in Grades 1-3 are invited to join Mrs. Vincent for an afternoon of Lenten crafting. Our crafters will compose a jewel-like cross upon a canvas board. A beautiful, CREATIVE expression of faith!
