Mark your calendar for next Thursday, March 14 at 7 pm when our beloved Fr. Grassi and guitarist Mark Teresi lead us in an hour of stillness, scripture, story and song centered on Lenten Prayer, our March theme. During our time together we will relate to, communicate with, listen for and hear God.
Fr. Grassi and Mark Teresi have been giving parish missions together for several years in the city, suburbs, and even Wisconsin. As you know from his homilies, Fr. Grassi is a master storyteller. Mark Teresi is currently the Assistant to the Rector for Planning and Development at Holy Name Cathedral by day, but has directed over thirty choirs and loves to sing and play the guitar in his free time.
Fr. Grassi and Mark Teresi have known each other for a lifetime, as far back as their time at Quigley. Mark Teresi says, "I like listening to Father Dominic Grassi, he is a standup comic besides everything else." Fr. Grassi believes that Mark's prayer is evident when he makes music, embodying the old saying, "to sing is to pray twice."
So gift yourself an hour of stillness to communicate with God this lent. Or even give your spouse or a friend the gift of an hour by watching the(ir) kids!
See you next Thursday, March 14 at 7 pm in the church!
