Today ACTS and our valued partners announced the cancellation of Translational Science 2020 (TS20) scheduled for April 14-17, 2020 at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park. We are currently working through alternative methods to deliver aspects of the program. Options include holding a meeting in the fall, transitioning content to a webinar format, and convening business meetings virtually. Over the coming days, we will continue to solicit input from you, our members and stakeholders, about what might work best for you.

The cancellation of our meeting cannot extinguish the enthusiasm and energy for what was to be a record attendance of committed scholars. The emergence of COVID-19 as an unexpected pandemic reminds us as a community that the inextricable linkages between medical research and care, public health research and care, and health policy and advocacy are vital to the health, safety, and security of our world. We thank our many members who are pivoting their research efforts to tackle this global challenge. We have again learned that the substantive infrastructure that facilitates research and training must be sustained as an immediately available set of tools to be quickly utilized.

We will provide our valued members, attendees, speakers, sponsors, and grant providers with updates as they become available, specifically around refunds once alternate solutions have been identified. We cannot retreat from the successes of the last years.
