Green Team News
Calling children of all ages! On Sunday March 17 th , during fellowship hour we’ll be making posters to advertise our April 28 th Earth Day Fair.  We need lots of hands to color and cut out pictures of butterflies and decorate the posters. Hope to see you there!

Your Green Tip:
All that’s needed to sanitize cutting boards (wood or plastic) is…. a lemon! Cut it in half, run it over the surfaces, let it sit for ten minutes, then rinse away. For more scrubbing power, sprinkle with coarse salt, then rub with lemon.

Special Opportunities to Sing
Holy Week at FCCLG is a musical journey from the triumphal entry on Palm Sunday (April 14) to the Last Supper and Crucifixion (Maundy Thursday, April 18) to the joy of Easter (April 21). All singers high-school and up are welcome to take this journey together. Rehearsals for Holy Week begin on March 14 at 7:30pm and will be 45-60 minutes. Contact Ryan Cox for more info.
On May 19 the Chancel Choir and friends will sing Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms as the Choral Sermon. Rehearsals will begin after Easter and take place on Thursday evening and Saturday morning. This will be a multi-generational choir and all singers 3 rd grade and up are welcome. It’s a challenging piece and I’m confident we can do it! For our younger singers, participation in the Treble Choir is preferred. We will also perform the piece the afternoon of May 19 at Oak Trace Retirement Community in Downers Grove. Please contact Ryan Cox for the complete schedule and to say yes to singing!
Save the Date
On Saturday, May 18th from 2 - 4 pm, our church will be packing food at the Feed My Starving Children facility in Aurora. This is an all church activity for ages 6 to 96. Please put the date on your calendar. Details and sign up will follow.
