Weekly Update
We all have dual citizenship—as citizens of our earthly country and as citizens in God’s eternal kingdom. In this election season, we are called to prayer, to intercede for our nation and its people. On Election Day, November 3, and the preceding voting days, you are invited to join a “Virtual Vigil” by choosing a time and place to come before our Lord in prayer. Prayer Vigil Guide page is available by clicking the button below.

In addition, an in-person opportunity to engage in prayer for our nation on Election Day is planned. In half-hour segments from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., a limited number of 3 people per time period, wearing masks, will join in prayer in the Prayer Room at LPC. To participate, you must sign up using the link below. After you sign up, you will be contacted with a code that will enable you to enter from either the Ark door or the rear stairwell entry door. As each group leaves the room, materials will be available to sanitize the room before the next group.

God alone is sovereign and all-wise. Ultimately, only He determines who our leaders are and we in turn are to honor and subject ourselves to them. “…The Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will and sets over it the lowliest of men.” (Daniel 4:17 ESV).
College students are experiencing widespread loneliness and isolation due to COVID realities on college campuses and many who are now living at home taking online classes. We ask that you consider writing letters of encouragement to our college students as they near finals this semester. Click on the button below to see a list of all of our college students. Please write to as many as you are able. Place your card or letter into the offering box on a Sunday morning or drop it by the church office 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (3 p.m. on Fridays) or mail it to the church. Please have all encouragement letters to the church by Sunday November 15.

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. This year, more than ever, this ministry needs our help!

Please prayerfully consider filling one or two shoeboxes. (You can use a shoebox provided by Operation Christmas Child, or simply use an actual shoe box, or a plastic shoebox sized tub.)

This is a great way for your family to work together on a mission. Take your child(ren) shopping, let them choose the items they'd like to put in their box, talk about it with them, and pray for the children who will receive your box(es).

Bring your filled shoeboxes to the church anytime between now and Sunday, November 22, and leave them on the designated cart as you walk in, or, drop them off at the church office during office hours: Monday-Thursday 8 - 4 p.m., Friday 8 - 3 p.m.

Thank you for your help with this awesome ministry!

(If you need a shoebox some will be available at church.)

For more information or to pack a shoebox on-line click the button below.

The Reach Out committee is happy to announce we are planning to have our annual Outdoor Living Nativity on Saturday, December 5. We will be coordinating a group of strong people to put together the stable on Sunday afternoon, November 29 at 12:30 p.m. We also need volunteers to be characters from the Biblical manger scene. Cookies and hot chocolate will be given out during the Nativity. If you are interested in participating as a character, building the stable, working the cookie station or donating 2-4 dozen cookies for Saturday, December 5. Sign up board will be available next Sunday as you exit the Sanctuary and the Ark after worship. For additional information contact Chris Dorsch at 513-824-1370, at email chrisdorsch@hotmail.com or Debbie Snider at 513-932-2789. Thanksgiving Baskets

For more than 33 years, LPC has been making Thanksgiving Baskets for needy families in our community. We need your help! Nonperishable food items may be placed in the boxes marked Thanksgiving Baskets located at the entrance to the Sanctuary and the entrance to the Ark. During the week, Monday through Friday, please bring nonperishable food items to the church office. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please mark your check or envelope “Thanksgiving Baskets” and place in the offering boxes or mail to the church office. There are other important ways you can serve. Click on the link below to volunteer: to call on families; pack baskets; front desk helper, deliver baskets or if you would like to be a leader.

Sunday Morning Worship
The church building is open for worship on Sunday morning, with traditional worship at 8:30 and 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary and modern worship at 11 a.m. in the Ark.

Nursery Care is available during all 3 worship services.

One-half of the Sanctuary is open seating, where people are responsible for observing their own social distancing. The other half is marked with tape to preserve social distancing, with seating in every other pew. Masks will be required at the 10 a.m. service starting this Sunday. Masks are recommended at the 8:30 and 11 am. services. Also, we ask that you please enter and exit the church through the front of the building and not use the back door at this time. If you are in a high-risk category because of your age and/or health, we urge you to please stay home and worship with us by live-streaming.

Children’s Sunday School is offered during the 10 a.m. service in our upstairs children’s area, and classes start to receive children at 9:45 a.m.

Parents and Students are invited to attend Vintage Family Sunday School on Sundays at 9:45 a.m. in the LPC Student Center Room 300 and Room 303. Vintage is a time of devotion and study for parents and teens to gather together to learn and follow Jesus as a family. Please join with us as we breath life into something old and become something new. Lessons start at 10 a.m. An interactive Zoom option is available. Contact Andrew for more information.
If you know someone who is not receiving our Weekly Update email or our calls about immediate information, please have them contact Gabrielle Pyles at gabrielle@lebanonpresbyterian.org so we can get them added to our congregational lists.
